Friends of Schuylkill River Park (FSRP) is a nonprofit, charitable corporation. It was formed in 1988 by concerned neighbors to foster:

• Preservation
• Beautification
• Redevelopment
• Improvement
• Maintenance
• Use and enjoyment

of the Schuylkill River Park.

ENJOY THE SCHUYLKILL RIVER PARK

The Park, nestled along the Schuylkill River, spans the area from South Street to Locust Street. It offers a baseball diamond, soccer field, Markward Playground, a recreation center, tennis basketball and volleyball courts, gardens, lawns and walkways.

SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS

The Friends of Schuylkill River Park:

• Raise funds, through dues and donations, to pay each year for regular mowing, other routine maintenance and landscaping of the Park, playground, and ballfields.
• Consult regularly with the Ninth Police District to insure the security of the Park and its neighborhood.
• Sponsor the Schuylkill Park Youth Soccer Program and other recreational activities.
• Organize the Fall Festival and semi-annual clean-up days.
• Work with the Fairmount Park Commission and neighborhood groups to plan the extension of the Park to the Art Museum.
